Bothy Threads was established over 20 years ago by Kate Golby. Since then Bothy Threads’ business has grown to incorporate designs by many artists, including Hannah Dale of Wrendale Designs with her quirkly animals, Beryl Cook with her lovely ladies, Amanda Loverseed and her fabulous Cut Thru designs, Margaret Sherry with her humorous animal pictures, Kim Anderson’s ‘Love’ range, Moira Blackburn’s traditional samplers and Julia Rigby who keeps us in ‘Fun’ designs. These wonderful artists are forever coming up with new designs for cross stitch, tapestry and long stitch which keeps Bothy Threads range of kits ‘fresh’ and ever changing.

Popular, nostalgic designs have been added to the Bothy Threads collection, including the work of William Morris, in both cross stitch and tapestry kits. Thelwell cross stitch designs make us smile with the little girls and their funny ponies and the work of L S Lowry, which never dates, with his matchstick men and the urban scenes of times gone by in Northern Britain.
